Summary
An extremely amazing video that shows the wonderful mechanism by which electrodes implanted in brains transmit commands directly to machines inorder to control them. John Chapin, a pioneer in neuro robotics, heads this laboratory where rats can control machines. Neuro robotics can take different paths like a brain controlling a machine or a machine controlling a brain. But there is also a third option. A brain can control another brain, via the interface! Electrodes placed in the sensory cortex make sure that the rat is rewarded with a release of dopamine, as a reward to control it. Dopamine is a chemical that gives the sensation of pleasure through the brain. Humans too have a pleasure center, as well as a sensory cortex and a motor cortex just like the rat. This is the starting point for the working of a cyborg.
