Frozen Fuel
Summary
Methane Clathrate more commonly known as methane hydrate or gas hydrate is found under sediments on the ocean floors. Could this be used as an alternative source of fuel? This video shows a submersible support vessel going to a depth of half mile in Gulf of Mexico to extract this frozen fuel. Some scientists estimate that there may be enough gas hydrates on earth to power the human race for 3000 years. Even though this seems to be a little far fetched, this is an interesting field to ponder upon.
