Parasitic Mind Control
Summary
Ants, as we know are part one of the most disciplined social systems; but they are sometimes held slaves to behavior control parasites. It starts with the ants consuming the slime of a snail and taking it back to the colony. The slime contains the eggs of liver fluke worm (a kind of flatworm). The liver fluke goes into a part of ants’ brain and starts controlling its behavior and directs it towards grazing mammals. The mammals eat the vegetation and along with it they consume the ant. Once inside the mammal, the liver fluke moves from the ant to the liver of the mammal. They eventually start dining on the liver tissue.
