Summary
In the era of an ever increasing demand for clean fuels and safe disposal of enormous waste produced everyday, InEntec, a Washington based company has developed something that is exactly what the doctor ordered. It specialises in making plasma enhanced melter (PEM) which treats industrial, chemical, hazardous and other solid wastes and converts them in a multi-step process to environmentally safe products compliant with EPA emission standards. The waste goes to a pre-gassifier where partial oxidation gassifies some of the waste and the partial process waste then drops into molten glass bag through a PEM chamber. The waste is subjected to very high temperatures by an electrically generated plasma arc resulting in useful materials. Most of the waste is converted to synthesis gas (SYNGAS) by the gassifier and the plasma arc. SYNGAS then undergoes a multi-step cleaning process to yield ethanol, hydrogen and other fuels. PEM has been used by companies across the globe because of its superior technology and the numerous advantages it has to offer.
